Commonly Pumped Chemicals

For up to 60% concentrations and temperatures up to 60⁰C we would normally select Polypropylene.

For higher concentrations and temperatures up to 100⁰C we would select PVDF, ETFE or PTFE.

For a mechanically sealed pump we would use a Single PTFE / SiC / Sic external seal.

For magnetic driven pumps we would select a carbon / ceramic shaft and bearing combination.

For up to 36% concentrations and temperatures up to 60⁰C we would normally select Polypropylene.

For higher temperatures up to 100⁰C we would select PVDF, ETFE or PTFE.

For a mechanically sealed pump we would use a Single PTFE / SiC / Sic external seal.

For magnetic driven pumps we would select a carbon / ceramic shaft and bearing combination.

For up to all concentrations and temperatures up to 100⁰C we would normally select PVDF, ETFE or PTFE.

For all concentrations and temperatures up to 60⁰C we would normally select Polypropylene.

For higher temperatures up to 100⁰C we would select ETFE or PTFE.

For a mechanically sealed pump we would use a Single MSH internal seal up to 20% concentration

Above 20% concentration we would always advise a double mechanical seal with a pressurised external flush.

For magnetic driven pumps we would select a SiC / Sic shaft and bearing combination and (usually) ETFE casing.
