Ecobulhart, part of Ecobulpack Group, a leading waste sorting and processing company, has commissioned a new fibre stock dewatering line at its Glawiniza site near Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. The line treats unsorted waste paper and other waste materials, enabling the production of high-quality raw fibre from recyclable packaging such as mixed paper for use in paper mills.

After sorting and cleaning, the fibre stock is dewatered to enable reuse as raw material. Efficient dewatering reduces transport costs, preserves final product quality, and conserves natural resources. The line integrates the AKSE S 175/04 disc thickener, the AKUFLOC FR 3 flocculation reactor, and the AKUPRESS BX 800 LS-H screw press. The process binds suspended solids with flocculants, pre-thickens the stock, and mechanically presses out remaining water to achieve a high dry content of 55–60%.

In a first step, the suspended solids are bound by adding flocculants in the AKUFLOC FR 3 flocculation reactor. The flocculated stock then passes through a pre-thickening stage in the AKSE S 175/04 disc thickener, removing a large portion of free water. The final dewatering stage uses the AKUPRESS BX 800 LS-H screw press to achieve the target dry content.

Close cooperation between Ecobulhart and Bellmer Kufferath Machinery GmbH enabled optimization of the process, contributing to greater sustainability and efficiency in waste recycling.
