Medway hydro - Case study

n operation since 1923, the Medway Hydroelectric Project is a run-of-river generating facility located on the Penobscot River in Medway, Maine. The plant was restored by Black Bear Hydro Partners LLC in 2011/2012 under the Penobscot River Restoration Agreement. CHC provided two 2500 mm replacement Francis runners to fit to the existing draft tubes. The new turbines provided a combined generating capacity of 2.0 MW.
