River Stabilization & Realignment- Case Study

ERC was hired as the General Contractor to stabilize and realign the North Fork Licking River immediately upstream from a rail road bridge. The project required clearing, grubbing, excavation and regrading of the existing point bars to realign the river thalweg. To stabilize the banks we installed j-hooks, flexamat, turf reinforcement matting, erosion control blanket with seed and plantings. We installed a bypass channel and pumping system to lower the water table during construction.
