Technical Evaluations
The key to lowering water and wastewater treatment costs begins with an in-depth analysis of the problem and the selection of the most efficient chemical treatment program. Our experienced professionals always begin with this end in mind. Our services include: Preliminary Assessments: Using base maps, operating data, construction drawings, consultant reports and field observations. System Surveys: Including development of hydraulic and loading profiles, establishment of baseline data, and impact assessment of industrial discharges. Technology Evaluations: Utilizing computer models, bench tests, pilot studies, and full-scale product demonstrations. Program Specifications: Providing guidance for performance criteria, technology selections, monitoring and dosing parameters, and budgetary allocations.
FLEXTREAT
FLEXTREAT is a customized, site specific, water treatment program designed for municipalities and domestic water supply companies that provides the user of water and wastewater treatment chemicals with fixed treatment costs per unit volume, in Costs per Million Gallons (CPMG) of water treated. Benefits include: Meet Local, State and Federal water quality standards at the lowest total treatment cost for a given set of established water quality standards. Stream-line budget forecasting with consistent, fixed treatment costs. Consolidate billing with a single monthly invoice. Receive comprehensive, monthly monitoring and performance reports. Access the latest chemical manufacturing and application product technology. Improve productivity of plant operations personnel.
Regulatory Compliance
The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and subsequent amendments sets standards, or Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL), for over 80 contaminants using a process called risk assessment. The nation’s 55,000 Community Water Systems (CWS) may use any state approved treatment method to comply with the MCL, and must verify compliance through monitoring, testing, and reporting to state public health and environmental agencies. Chemicals and media used in the treatment must also conform to American National Standards Institute / National Sanitation Foundation (ANSI / NSF) Standard 60 for direct additives and Standard 61 for indirect additives.
Inventory Management
Managing inventory can be a costly and time consuming process for many water and wastewater treatment facilities. ALTIVIA offers a range of programs to help manage and reduce these costs. From manual system monitoring and maintenance to fully automated customer or vendor managed inventory, we have the program that’s right for you. System Monitoring and Maintenance: ALTIVIA’s nationwide network of service representatives can provide routine service and support on a regularly scheduled basis. During service calls, dosing equipment and monitoring instruments are calibrated, preventative maintenance is performed, product inventory levels are checked, and restock deliveries are scheduled. These activities are documented in monthly performance and inventory reports along with a consolidated billing statement.
