Although aqueous waste isn’t as toxic as petroleum solvents, it can still have serious environmental impact if the waste water is not disposed of properly. 

The printing industry uses around 2 billion pounds of ink every year. In addition to waste problems from the ink itself, waste is produced from creating films and cleaning presses.

Marine bilge water and ballast water discharges, and disposal of tank wash slops containing oil, can cause serious environmental damages. Most international, federal and state agencies set limits on the amount of oil and grease content allowed in discharges. Many places, especially coastal harbors, are even designated as a NO DISCHARGE ZONE.

Commercial vehicle washing uses a tremendous amount of water. By separating out and removing waste, clean water can be reused for great cost savings as well as saving on sewer fees.
