Transpiration Sap Flow
Dynamax EXO-Skin - Transpiration Sap Flow
After more than 25 years of experience and a worldwide experience with sap flow sensor manufacturing and design, the Dynamax team brings you the latest innovations and sap flow sensor construction advancements. With continuous customer feedback over the years, and through several years of research, we solved many of the commercial and research needs for a more plant friendly and user-friendly sap flow sensor. We improved the longevity, reliability and accuracy with commercial irrigation applications in mind.
Dynamax Dynagage - Sap Flow Sensor
The Dynagage Sap Flow Sensors are the latest technology for measuring the sap flow, and thus the water consumption of plants. These energy balance sensors measure the amount of heat carried by the sap which is converted into Real-Time sap flow in grams or kilograms per hour. The sensors are non-intrusive and not harmful since the plants are heated up 1° C to 5° C typically. The principles of heat balance sensors are scientifically proven and references exist for most major crops and many tree species. Unlike other methods, Dynagages require no calibration since sap flux is directly determined by the energy balance and rates of heat convection by the sap flow.
Dynamax - Model SGDC - Sap Flow Sensor
In Dynamax’s continuing efforts to improve our sap flow technologies, we introduce the SGDC sap flow sensor. This new sensor requires only (2) data logger channels, which allows for twice as many sensors to be connected to the data logger. The basic principles of operation for the SGDC are the same as the tried and proven heat balance method used by our other sap flow sensors.
Dynamax - Model TDP - Sap Velocity - Thermal Dissipation Probe Transpiration Sensor
The Thermal Dissipation Probe (TDP) transpiration sensor measures sap velocity which is converted to volumetric flow rate. TDP is a simple and affordable device originally proposed by Granier. The basic TDP probe has two thermocouple needles inserted in the sapwood, the upper one containing an electric heater. The probe needles measure the temperature difference (dT) between the heated needle and the sapwood ambient temperature below. The dT variable and the maximum dTm at zero flow provide a direct conversion to sap velocity.
Dynamax SapIP - Wireless Data Logging System
The new SapIP wireless data logging system from Dynamax, Inc., with EXO or Dynagage sap flow sensors, can be used to measure plant water use in “real-time” with no calibration. The SapIP gateway can monitor up to (25) SapIP nodes with (2) sap flow sensors each. The nodes can be located up to 5,000 feet away from the gateway module. Data is collected and analyzed through the Dynamax website for easy monitoring and data download.
Dynamax - Model Flow10 - Sap Flow System and Dynagage Sensors
The Dynagage Flow10 Sap Flow system and Dynagage sensors have been servicing research plant scientists throughout the world for over 30 years. The Flow10 software makes working with Flow10 sap flow system easier than ever before with built-in algorithms for efficient and faster data analysis. Powerful functions include auto-zero and sensor status built into the data logger program. Sap flow data recalculation and automatic charting with an Excel™ Macro link makes the system a superior water relations measurement system. Sap Flow has never been this easy and powerful.
Dynamax Dynagage - Model Flow32-1K - Sap Flow System and Sensors
The Dynagage Flow32-1K Sap Flow system and Dynagage sensors have been servicing research plant scientists throughout the world for over 30 years. The Flow32-1K software makes working with Flow32-1K sap flow system easier than ever before with built-in algorithms for efficient and faster data analysis. New powerful functions include auto-zero and sensor status built into the datalogger program. Sap flow data recalculation and automatic charting with an Excel™ Macro link makes the system a superior water relations measurement system. Sap Flow has never been this easy and powerful. Dynagage sap flow sensors are the most accurate and reliable sensors available for measuring plant sap flow. Dynagage is now a key technique in modern water management, hydrology, crop studies, plant water relations, and biomass production.
Dynamax FLGS-TDP - Model XM1000 - Sap Velocity System
The FLGS-TDP XM1000 system is a complete CR1000x based logger system for 32 TDP probes. The CR1000x is housed in a weather-resistant enclosure while collecting data under extremely harsh conditions. The AM16/32 Relay Multiplexer increases the number of sensors that may be scanned by the CR1000x data logger. The PC400 data logger support software for windows facilitates programming, communication, and reliable exchange of data between a PC and a CR1000x data logger. The interactive toolbar launches and controls independent windows used to communicate with the data logger, edit programs, view and graph real-time data, retrieve stored data, and process data files. The minimum requirements include: Windows, 15MB disk space, VGA monitor, RS-232 port(s) for modem or serial communication interfaces.
Soil Moisture
Dynamax ThetaProbe - Model ML3 - Soil Moisture Sensor
The new ML3 ThetaProbe has extra features, improved performance and a new look. With its 1% accuracy the ThetaProbe continues to set the standard for soil moisture measurement but now also measures soil temperature. With the ML3 ThetaProbe Soil Moisture Sensor it`s easy to make reliable, accurate soil moisture measurements. Simply insert the soil moisture probe into the soil, connect to your data logger or readout unit, provide 5-15V DC at 20mA, and within seconds you can be logging soil moisture. The ML3 ThetaProbe is robust, buriable and maintenance free (environmentally protected to IP68) . It can be easily installed at depth into augered holes using the optional extension tubes.
Dynamax - Model WET150 - Multi-Parameter Soil Sensor
Benefiting from a number of important design innovations, the WET150 delivers research-grade accuracy and build quality at a price point not previously thought possible. This means growers can now integrate a true research-grade multi-parameter sensor into their precision irrigation and environmental control systems at lower cost – making those systems even more effective, reliable and affordable.
