Energy Survey / Health Check

The first step is to carry out an initial visual energy survey in order to identify potential savings and a health check to identify maintenance issues which will impact on energy demand. From this a report will be provided that identifies potential savings and costs to deliver.

Identify Quick and Big Win Opportunities

There can be many energy saving opportunities in a system however these must be significant enough and cost effective to implement.

Engage with Client Stakeholders

It is important to engage with the clients stakeholders very early on in the process to gain confidence and gain their buy in. Engage with key stakeholder Engineering / Production / Quality Assurance /EHS. Present and discuss the opportunities and benefits. Decide on which energy savings to implement to suit the clients business needs.

Risk Analysis / Strategy

A well planned low impact strategy and risk analysis is vital to identifying any business risks and to ensure the best chance for success without impacting on productivity and product quality. Design Proposal / Drawings. Risk Analysis. Project Draft Plan. Identify pre implantation testing – viable / non viable testing, energy monitoring (MEMU). Review proposals and strategy with client stakeholders.

Compliance Documentation

The correct documentation is critical in ensuring and proving any changes are in full compliance with the clients quality system therefore regulatory standards and guidelines.

Implementation

It is only when the required documentation is agreed, completed and approved by the client that implementation of the changes / modifications can commence according to the agreed implementation plan / strategy.

Energy Monitoring

Verification of projected energy savings is critical to ensure that the project has met its fundamental purpose. Once Implementation is complete energy savings can be monitored and calculated using our bespoke energy monitoring devices called Mobile Energy Monitoring Units (MEMU`s).

Energy Monitoring

HVAC Monitoring

HVAC electrical and heat energy used to condition, supply, filter and extract air typically equates to 50 – 75% of a facilities total energy cost. By monitoring individual HVAC plant these costs can be verified and reduced where excessive. Hidden problems remain hidden; bespoke monitoring targets the problems and provides an opportunity to rectify.

Bespoke Energy Monitoring

Lighting LUX, power, time on/off. Compressed Air Systems leak checking, energy use. Vibration Analysis Fans/motors. Chilled Water Systems efficiency of installation. Motor Temperature. Heating Systems efficiency of installation. Wireless systems remote logging. Air Quality CO2 levels, temperature & humidity etc.

Project Management

Develop Scope

Our multi-disciplined team of engineers can assist the Client in producing a full project scope and tender documentation, to CAPEX approval level, within current legislation whilst paying particular attention to energy saving and low carbon technology.
