Accident Reconstruction and Biomechanics Courses

Advanced Impact Biomechanics Courses

This course will provide the student with the knowledge and understanding of the principles and science of low-speed impact biomechanics.  Vehicle components and data collection will be detailed to provide the student an understanding of the elements required for an accurate biomechanical analysis.  Use of vehicle event data recorders and current research in the field will also be covered.

Introdution to Low Speed Impact Biomechanics Course

This course will provide the student with basic knowledge and understanding regarding the principles and science of low-speed impact biomechanics.  The data collection and evidence preservation process will be detailed to provide the student understanding of the elements required for an accurate biomechanical analysis.  Legal issues and current research in the field will also be covered.

Introduction to Vehicle Accident Reconstruction Course

This course will provide the student with basic knowledge and understanding regarding the principles and science of vehicle accident reconstruction, The data collection and evidence preservation process will be detailed to provide the student understanding of the elements required for an accurate vehicle accident reconstruction.

Overview of Vehicle Accident Reconstruction & Biomechanics Course

This course will provide the student with basic knowledge and an understanding regarding the principles and science of vehicle accident reconstruction, event data recorders in vehicles and low-speed impact biomechanics. The data collection and evidence preservation process will be detailed to provide the student understanding of the elements required for an accurate vehicle accident reconstruction. Legal issues and current research in the field will also be covered.

Vehicle Fire Examination Course

This class will provide the claims adjuster with a basic overview of the information needed when investigating vehicle fire claims.

Construction Training Course

Basic Building Construction for the Adjuster Course

The students will learn the basic building components of structure from the foundation up to the peak of the roof and how the components are assembled during construction. The familiarization of building construction will give the new adjuster a reverse engineering perspective when analyzing a structure during the field-adjusting phase of the claims process. The knowledge of the integration of the building components will aid the adjuster in the fix or replace decisions during the claims handling process.

Construction Defects Course

This class will present information on how to recognize the nature and extent of the distress or changed conditions associated with the most common types of construction defects and understand the contribution of design, installation and material factors. Additionally, the attendee will understand the process of documenting construction defects for potential claims.

Residential and Commercial Construction Defects Course

This course will provide the student with basic knowledge of how to recognize the nature and extent of the distress or changed conditions associated with the most common types of construction defects, and understand the design-build process by which construction defects are produced including the contribution of design, installation and material factors.  Understand the process of documenting construction defects for potential claims.

Earthquakes Training Course

Earthquakes for Adjusters Course

The licensee will obtain knowledge of how to recognize and properly inspect structures for earthquake related damages to the extent necessary for handling CEA (California Earthquake Authority) claims.  Licensee will receive a certification valid for three years to allow adjusting of CEA claims in California.  This course is also designed for 8 hours of optional CE credit it other states.

Electrical Training Course

Electrical Fundamentals Course

This course will provide the student with basic knowledge and understanding of how electricity is produced, delivered to the home and subsequently used. This information will then be applied to actual case studies from the forensic engineering files that were part of large insurance losses. A demonstration of how the electrical system can cause fire and what to look for to prevent such fires will conclude the presentation.
