In response to today"s changing standards for environmental management and soil stabilization, site managers seek safe (non-toxic), effective products that are economical. GeoMatrixSS is a permeable fiber mat that is customized to a site"s specific soil composition making it a best-of-class erosion control solution. Soil samples collected from a site are analyzed in our laboratory to determine their electromagnetic and chemical profiles. Once the profiles are determined, a proprietary blend of additives selected to complement the soil"s composition are combined with the GeoMatrix SS base to create a customized product that is durable and can provide maximum soil stabilization.

Hydrograss Technologies now distributes the Enkamat product line, manufactured by Colbond, Inc. Enkamat is a three-dimensional nylon Turf Reinforcement Mat (TRM) made of polymide (nylon) filaments thermally fused at their intersections to create a homogeneous matrix. Ninety-five percent of the matrix is open space, which supplements nature"s own erosion control system by reinforcing plant root systems. As the roots grow, they become entwined within the lofty and open Enkamat matrix, creating an extremely stable cover. When fully vegetated, Enkamat can double the effectiveness of natural vegetation and replace hard armor systems at a fraction of the cost.

The APS Floc Log is a semi-hydrated gel polyacrylamide block that when placed within stormwater or construction site drainages will remove fine particles and reduce NTU values. Each Floc Log is formulated for the soil and water chemistry of the geographical area where placement and usage are intended. Soil and water samples are required for geographical areas not previously tested. Placement of the Floc Log should be as close to the source of particle suspension or NTU origination as possible. Finer particles and colloidal suspensions will require greater mixing times, usually never greater than 75 seconds. This mixing time equates to the time required for water to flow through a ditch system or a pipe. Typical reaction times in most geographical areas are 10-30 seconds. Ideal performance of the Floc Log results when used in conjunction with Best Management Practices in place. Rock checks, drop inlets, storm drains, retrofits and slope drains all greatly enhance the effectiveness of the Floc Log.
