PendoTECH - Single Use Pressure Sensors

PendoTECH’s Single Use Pressure Sensors™ measure static and dynamic pressure of gases and liquids in your biopharmaceutical processes – accurately and cost effectively. Robust enough to be repeatedly cleaned and inexpensive enough to be utilized in disposable applications, our Single Use Pressure Sensors deliver a dependable alternative to stainless steel pressure transducers. The sensors feature PendoTECH High Accuracy Pressure (MEMS-HAP™) Chips and are perfect for filtration and chromatography processes, monitoring of glass and disposable bioreactors, filling operations and more. They are available in caustic-resistant polysulfone to withstand sanitization processes. PendoTECH’s pressure sensors, which are qualified for use up to 75 psi, are compatible with PendoTECH’s PressureMAT™ monitor/transmitter, PendoTECH’s Process Control Systems or other pre-qualified third-party monitors.

PressureMAT - Sensor Monitor

Designed to monitor pressure of PendoTECH’s Single Use Pressure Sensors™, the PressureMAT® Sensor Monitor combines monitor, alarm and transmitter in one unit. Featuring an easy-to-read LCD screen that displays the pressure readings, the PressureMAT is ideal for monitoring pressures for filtration, bioreactor, and chromatography applications. The monitor’s data output capability enables the readings to be routed to a PC or control system for data collection. For low-pressure applications, PendoTECH offers a High Resolution (HR) model that achieves ten times the precision of the standard PressureMAT unit. By enabling users to set pressure limits, the PressureMAT’s alarm settings help safeguard the integrity of your specialized process. Also available are the PressureMAT Sensor Transmitter, the handheld PressureMAT DPG sensor reader and the PressureMAT PC Data Acquisition Software.

PendoTECH - In-Line UV & Turbidity

PendoTECH is proud to offer In-line Single-Use UV Absorbance and Turbidity measuring and monitoring tools that collect data from the bioprocess fluid streams, while it is processing, resulting in less disruption to bioprocessing operations compared to measurements taken off-line.

PendoTECH - Model NFF - Cell Harvest Filter Screening System

The PendoTECH Filter Screening System can be used for process optimization of normal flow filtration (NFF) processes such as a filtration train used for cell harvest after a bioreactor and/or centrifuge, virus filtration, and sterile filtration. It is for filtration sizing and optimization studies, up to 4 filter trains with 3 PendoTECH Pressure Sensors each (12 total) can be monitored so multiple filters can be compared simultaneously for comparative studies.

PendoTECH - Model TFF - Cross Flow Filtration System

PendoTECH TFF Process Control System™ is an optimal solution that adds automation and data collection to a Cross Flow / Tangential Flow Filtration – TFF) Process. The system includes a powerful yet easy to use Graphical User Interface and recipe based control of entire concentration and diafiltration process with multiple options for automated diafiltration end point (filtrate weight, conductivity, pH, air in feed line with non-invasive detector, total flow). Pressure measurement and calculation of trans-membrane pressure (TMP) and delta-P with PendoTECH Pressure Sensors™ which can be cleaned and re-used extensively or other pressure sensors/transducers.

PendoTECH - Model TFF - 5 Station Screening System

5 Stations of a Tangential Flow Filtration/Crossflow Filtration Process with completely independent control. It provides the ability to conduct parallel experiments in a compact footprint. There is complete batch control with 6 built-in programmable recipes.

PendoTECH - Throttle Valves

In bioprocess operations, flexible tubing is frequently used for process development and production. As liquid flows through the tubing, it is desirable to minimize contact with other components that may contribute to hold-up volume and may be contaminated by process fluids. The PendoTECH Tubing Throttle Valve™ enables pressure or flow control by varying flow path area by only contacting the outside of the tubing without the valve contacting the fluid. It can be used with different types of tubing (included braided). The setpoint is easily adjusted, in realtime, with up/down arrows with local setpoint entry. A remote control option is also available. If default settings are not optimal, there is a one-touch real-time adjustment of proportional value PID control setting.

Magma - Advanced Pumping Systems

Our Magma Advanced Pumping System products include a range of air diaphragm pumps that are perfect for liquid transfer operations where low shear sanitary/sterile pumping is required, such as pumping mammalian cells and use of a tubing pump that can rupture and leak unexpectedly needs to be avoided and containment is required (e.g., extended pumping applications like perfusion). A range of pump sizes are available with both cylindrical designs and long-life dome diaphragms with single use options. The generation 1 pump controller is currently being updated to a more technically advanced design with a wide range of features. Coming soon… Piston Diaphragm Pumping Systems can be used for applications where low shear, precise and accurate flow rates are required with single use options available.

PendoTECH - Single Use Bubble Trap

In certain bioprocess operations like chromatography, it is desirable to have a component to remove entrapped air. In the PendoTECH Single Use Bubble trap, its liner inserts into bubble trap hardware that eliminates cross-contamination between uses. The product contact surface is polyethylene and this material is USP Class VI and is compatible with gamma irradiation product. Optional non-product contact detectors to assist in automated venting. The liner inserts in minutes and is compact in size before use and not inflated.

PendoKIT - Customized Systems

PendoTECH can assist in customized solutions to meet unique user requirements not offered as standard products. These PendoKIT solutions are custom enclosures to package together some of the off-the-shelf products in an organized fashion: the PMAT-DAQ flexible monitor to view and record multiple data parameters and carts such as pump carts and pilot TFF carts. To configure a Pilot Cart for a customer, a Functional Design Specification (FDS) Template is used to ensure the components will all fit together optimally. There is also an IQ-OQ available that maps to the FDS and this process follows the GAMP Methodology also referred as the “V-Model.”
