Water Treatment
Steam Boilers & Hot Water Boilers
Most modern water treatment programs for steam boilers rely on polymers to control scale formation & corrosion. Typically, dosage of polymer was based on past experience because there was no test available to find out how much polymer has been adsorbed (used up & no longer available). Due to this problem, even well managed systems would sometimes fail to control scale formation & corrosion in steam boiler systems. So, most polymers were (are) overfed to avoid any surprises.
Model ZLD - Cooling Water Technology
Since 2010, our customers are enjoying phenomenal benefits of patented technology (developed by WCTI) for Zero Liquid Discharge cooling water treatment. This technology mitigates scale, corrosion and bio-fouling without blowdown or chemicals. “New Dimension” cooling technology permits operation at high TDS / Zero Liquid Discharge and provides “State of Art” Corrosion & Scale Inhibition at 10-100,000 TDS tower water. Benefits are water use reduction and cost savings without acid, scale or corrosion risks.
Odor Control Technology
We offer a broad mix of odor control technology ranging from odor-masking chemicals, odor-neutralizing chemicals and ozone units. Advanced Oxidation units are very effective in eliminating odors from organic sources. Advanced Oxidation can replace odor control systems utilizing hypochlorite (bleach), peroxide etc leading to improved efficiency & reduced cost.
Wastewater Treatment
Model WWT - Chemical Free Ozone Wastewater Treatment System
Ozone has been used in waste water treatment for limited applications namely, color removal, BOD reduction, COD reduction etc but the applications were limited because Ozone alone is not sufficient to control all parameters of wastewater treatment. Water treatment chemicals are frequently used in waste water treatment but chemicals are effective in removing insoluble BOD & COD. Soluble BOD & COD needs secondary treatment which is very expensive.
Model WWT - Flocculation and Sedimentation Chemical
The Floccin products have proven to be more cost effective than the conventional steps of pH adjusting, coagulation, flocculation, and the use of dewatering aids such as pearlite or diatomaceous earth. The Floccin products usually replace 3 chemistries with 1 and in many cases replaces 5 products. This greatly simplifies the wastewater treatment operation and variability of the treated water. In batch operations or clarification, the Floccin products have greater settling rates. Batch systems can settle the solids in 20 minutes versus 2+ hours. In clarifiers, the increased settling rate allows a higher hydraulic loading thereby increasing the throughput. This unique charateristic of Floccin polymers increases the capacity of wastewater treatment system especially beneficial where wastewater flow-rate has increased beyond design parameters. The sludge generated has a higher shear strength generating a drier cake without dewatering aids (No need for DE precoat).
Advanced Oxidation Process System (AOP)
Ozone has been used in waste water treatment for limited applications namely, color removal, BOD reduction, COD reduction etc but the applications were limited because Ozone alone is not sufficient to control all parameters of wastewater treatment. Moreover, the amount of ozone required & residence time is very high making it un-economical to treat large flow-rates of waste water.
Model WWT - Bioreactor Unit
A Bio-Reactor is a biological wastewater treatment system used to degrade high levels of BOD. This is achieved with the use of a series of tanks, blowers, and pumps that specially designed to maintain an aerobic biomass (population of bacteria that eat the organic constituents that makeup the BOD). A Bio-Reactor gives industry an option to treat BOD in an economical and reliable manner
Technologies
Ion Exchange for Physical-Chemical Process Technology
Ion exchange is a physical-chemical process in which ions are swapped between a solution phase and solid resin phase. The solid resin is typically an elastic three-dimensional hydrocarbon network containing a large number of ionizable groups electrostatically bound to the resin. These groups are exchanged for ions of similar charge in solution that have a stronger exchange affinity (i.e., selectivity) for the resin. In drinking water treatment, this technology is commonly used for softening and nitrate removal.
Membrane Filtration System
There are several classes of treatment processes that constitute membrane filtration. These processes include: microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), and reverse osmosis (RO). Each of these technologies utilizes a membrane barrier that allows the passage of water but removes contaminants. The membrane media is generally manufactured as flat sheets or as hollow fibers and then configured into membrane modules.
Gas-Water Mixing Pump
Gas-Water mixing efficiency plays a critical role in Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) and Ozonation applications. Efficient gas-water mixing creates whitewater i.e. micro-bubbles at high pressure (70 PSI - 90 PSI) required for maximizing buoyancy in DAF systems and maximizing reaction rate via increased surface area in Ozonation applications.
