PW1 and PW9 Trackbed separators are used to maintain separation between the adjacent sand/ballast layers within the trackbed construction where the sub-grade soils are good. TERRAM PW1 and PW9 prevent the upward movement of fine sub-grade particles by separating the adjacent sand/ballast layers. PW9 robust trackbed separator is used where the sub-grade soils are good but contain angular stone to protect the standard geotextile from damage.
