Flow Stopping / Line Stopping Services
Our line stopping equipment provides you with the opportunity to isolate a section of your pipeline whilst essential repair and maintenance work can be carried out. This method uses our innovative under pressure drilling equipment to create a hole in the pipe line whilst under pressure. A flow stop is lowered into the pipeline, with a specialist plugging head resisting the forces created by the flow. When looking to isolate a section of pipe, UTS Engineering can combine flow stops with a bypass line to allow for maintenance and repair to be carried out without the need for a costly shut down.
Innovalve Service
Our in-line valve installation provides you with a flow control mechanism, which can be closed at any given time. The innovalve system can be installed without a costly shut down to the line. We use our innovative under pressure drilling techniques to establish a connection to the live line. The innovalve is securely connected to the pipeline leaving you with a simple control mechanism to mange the flow
Pipe Cutting Services
UTS Engineering offer a pipe cutting service, which provides you with a clean cut through your pipeline. Our machinery is capable of cutting through any pipeline no matter what condition and in any environment. Our machinery provides a cold cutting service, which is extremely safe and will not create any sparks. This service allows for pipelines to be repaired, replaced with new pipeline or for the installation of valves. To avoid disruption to your service, we can install a flow stop and bypass to a nearby line under pressure, avoiding the need for a costly shut down to the current flow.
Pipe Freezing Services
Pipe freezing is a method that allows for pipe maintenance or line modification without the need for a costly shut down. This specialist process involves the use of liquid nitrogen and solid freeze plugs to allow a pipe line to be isolated, withstanding various pressures. This method minimises the cost of system drain down, refill and system down time and is managed by our fully qualified service technicians. Upon completion of the pipe modification or maintenance, the plugs are thawed and the line becomes fully operational.
