He is regarded as an expert in technical knowledge for a large variety of air quality instrumentation along with providing expert statistical interpretations and analysis related to environmental data for indoor, ambient air quality, toxicology, and risk assessments. Dr. McAuley's strong background has allowed him to be a leader in educating fellow researchers and clients on the pathways related to air pollution exposures and various systemic and peripheral inflammatory mechanisms related to these exposures. He has been a key resource in implementing and designing two mobile air quality laboratories. Since founding CHANGE in 2009, he has led several air quality studies focusing on health effects to air pollution, aerosol monitoring and measurement.
