Wind speed is mea-sured using a sealed reedswitch which provides aseries of pulses at a rate proportional to wind speed.Aluminum cups are used for durability and strength.Wind direction is measuredusing an aluminum vanedirectly coupled to a precisionpotentiometer. Variations inwind direction produce a corresponding change of voltage, which lends itself to both digital and analog mea-surement systems.Mounting the 034B with thealignment adapter (PN 2954)provides alignment mainte-nance even if the sensor isremoved. The alignmentadapter mounts the 034BWind Sensor to tubing or pipe.Improved potentiometermounting, makes replacementand field re-alignment eveneasier.
