VAPO – comparable and reliable data for sustainability reporting and authorities’ registers

Vapo is the leading supplier of local and renewable fuels, bioelectricity and bioheat, and environmental business solutions in the Baltic Sea region. Vapo’s focus on sustainability agenda is on environmental management, particularly on the climate change. Vapo implemented Tofuture´s leading Corporate Sustainability Management (CSM) system for management and reporting of its environmental performance during 2008. Currently the system is used in all operations comprising more than 500 entities. For Vapo the benefits of CSM arise from easy and controlled data collection, analysis and reporting, which at the same time meets the requirements for mandatory environmental data disclosed to Finnish authorities (VAHTI register).
