Clarke Energy is proud to announce a new contract with long-standing customer Watercare Services Limited, supporting a critical infrastructure upgrade at the Manukau Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Auckland, New Zealand.

As part of Watercare’s Engine Replacement Project, Clarke Energy will supply, deliver, and install three Jenbacher J616 Long Block engines, along with a spare alternator and two turbochargers. Clarke Energy’s experienced local team will manage the full installation, commissioning, and provide onsite operator support.

This project forms an essential part of Watercare’s recently announced 10-year, $13.8 billion business plan, which includes over 1,000 projects aimed at ensuring the long-term sustainability and resilience of Auckland’s water infrastructure.

The Mangere WWTP is one of Auckland’s most critical water assets, servicing around 75% of the city’s population. The replacement of the engines is designed to strengthen the reliability and operational efficiency of the plant.

This upgrade will contribute to Auckland’s infrastructure sustainability goals and help protect the surrounding Manukau Harbour environment.
