Description：Ethyl acetoacetate (Ethyl acetylacetate) is an ester widely used as an intermediate in the synthesis of many varieties of compounds. Ethyl acetoacetate is an inhibitor of bacterial biofilm.

In Vitro：Ethyl acetoacetate is a more efficient bacterial biofilm formation inhibitor than Acetoacetate, with a IC50 range of 0.31-5.6 mg/mL. It significantly reduces the growth activity and biofilm formation of Cronobacter sakazakii, Serratia marcescens, and Yersinia enterocolitica, showing potential for anti-infection applications[4].
