Capitainer - Model B10Vanadate -Advanced Microsampling for PEth Analysis
Capitainer B10Vanadate introduces a sophisticated method for dried blood spot sampling, crucially aiding laboratories in the delivery of precise Phosphatidylethanol (PEth) testing. This device leverages a unique technology that integrates the phospholipase D (PLD) inhibitor sodium metavanadate (NaVO3) to halt post-sampling PEth formation. As an effective volumetric microsampling solution, it removes reliance on traditional blood sampling methods and allows for efficient alcohol biomarker testing from finger blood. This technology circumvents the need for controlled storage conditions, as samples remain stable at ambient temperatures. With dimensions of 78 x 43 x 3 mm, it's designed for ease of use in various settings, backed by its CE-IVD certification. Laboratories are responsible for assay validation, ensuring results are consistent with the laboratory's standards. Capitainer®B10Vanadate is based on our accurate and reliable technology. In addition, it incorporates our proprietary technology for integrating the phospholipase D (PLD) inhibitor sodium metavanadate (NaVO3) in the paper disc.

Sample Storage
Collected Capitainer B Vanadate samples can be stored at room temperature.
The stability of individual analytes in DBS samples should be validated by the responsible laboratory. In general, stability increases with lower temperature and lower humidity. Our discs can be stored in the freezer to extend stability. Please refer to the extensive literature for traditional DBS samples as guidance for individual analytes.
Disposal
Dispose according to local regulations. Take care with blood stained materials and sharps.

In other regions, where above registrations does not apply, the device is supplied as a research use only (RUO) product for research and non-diagnostic activities.
