The air separator operates on aerodynamic principles, using a variable frequency fan to generate a controlled airflow that achieves effective separation within the drum based on density differences. Light materials (such as paper scraps, plastic bags, and films) are carried away by the airflow, while heavy materials settle naturally. The entire machine features a modular design and a negative pressure sorting system, ensuring clean operation without leaks, with adjustable wind speeds for strong adaptability.
ZAECOTECH Eco air separator, also known as a light material separator, consists of a centrifugal fan, a rotating drum separation unit, a belt conveyor, and a settling chamber. It operates on the principle of differences in material weight and air resistance, using consistent airflow to drive materials and achieve easy, automatic classification. It is widely used in processing lines for municipal solid waste, stale waste, and industrial waste.
The equipment utilizes aerodynamics and material density characteristics to separate shredded materials, effectively isolating light materials such as fabrics, leather, plastics, and waste paper, while discharging inert materials like bricks, stones, soil, and metals. It is one of the commonly used devices for waste sorting.
Working Principle: Based on the different motion characteristics of materials with varying densities in an airflow, when material enters the air separator through the inlet, the airflow generated by the centrifugal fan passes through it. Light materials with low density, large surface area, and high air resistance (such as plastic films, paper, and foam) are lifted by the airflow and move in the direction of the wind. Meanwhile, heavier materials settle at the heavy material discharge outlet due to the force of gravity.
