Today, you bring water samples from your system to a laboratory for microbial water quality testing. Tomorrow, our automation add-ons can measure directly in your system. This allows you to accurately monitor bacterial concentrations 24/7 up to every 5 minutes and hence to see what is happening in your system in terms of microbiology in real time. Our add-ons complement your water quality monitoring by finally adding a microbial parameter to existing chemical and physical water quality monitoring solutions.
With our automation add-ons you can fully benefit from the proven strengths of existing flow cytometers meeting your individual needs. Our add-ons can obtain and process samples up to every 5 minutes (> 280 samples per day) and from as many as twelve separate sample ports. Our modular design allows for fully flexible customization and can thus accommodate for your specific needs. You are free to choose/switch the sampling frequency, the number of sampling ports, the measuring protocol, the cleaning protocol, the dilution, and the incubation temperature.
On-line monitoring through flow cytometry creates value for customers in applications across multiple industries. Our add-ons strongly scale up the advantages of flow cytometry over currently used cultivation-based methods through full automation. This also reduces the time of qualified staff dedicated to tedious routine tasks such as HPC. With the high temporal resolution, microbial monitoring is now finally reaching the level of other water quality sensors. Furthermore, existing flow cytometry users can drastically increase their application capabilities by upgrading their measurement devices with our add-ons.
Move from infrequent and often indirect measurements of the bacteria/algae/yeast in your experiment or bioprocess reactor to 24/7 tracking at high resolution with minimal efforts. With our add-ons you can automate in situ sampling, sample processing, and measurement completely. Thanks to our modular design, you can measure multiple replicates or different setups in parallel. The richness in microbial data allows for integration with abiotic on-line measurements and aid modeling of observations.
Moreover, you can use our add-ons to automate various actions to run your experiment or processing. Thanks to the ability to pipette, mix, dilute, and incubate, our device can both help dynamically running an experiment and measure its development. Possibilities include: changing pH, adding nutrients, introducing stressors. Furthermore, you can take sub-samples and treat those separately in up to nine temperature-controlled reaction chambers before measuring them with the flow cytometer. Alternatively you can introduce them to a separate analysis pipeline and/or store them for later analysis.
If you need to measure many samples with flow cytometry, you can use multi-well plates with pipetting robots for sample preparations and auto-loaders for measurement, but this still requires switching between different machines. Our automation add-on combines sample acquisition directly from any sample container with sample processing and subsequent measurement by the flow cytometer. Bring in your samples from the field or your customers in any bottle and have them prepared and analysed fully automated without touching a pipette. Multiple bottles can be fed to the add-on already and multiplexing for your specic application can be made available on request.
