Model ERB-222 -Cartridge Systems

SHARE

The ERB-222 water treatment system is designed for two or three phase water treatment for multiple equipment applications, requiring medium to high water flows and volumes. The unit is designed to first reduce sediment and turbidity that may cause damage to food service equipment, appliances, and machinery; second, to remove chlorine and other volatile organic chemicals that may affect the taste and quality of products that are produced with water; and third, if necessary, to treat special problems, such as iron and manganese. Water enters the unit and passes through the sediment filter, followed by an activated carbon cartridge, and finally a specialty cartridge. The system can be designed (ERB-222P) to allow water to pass through the last two housings simultaneously (in parallel) for one of the two above applications, increasing the system’s flow rate capabilities for one type of treatment.

  • Two and three step water treatment provides much more effective water treatment than single multi-phase cartridges and reduces premature cartridge replacement.
  • Large diameter housings and cartridges allow for up 10 times the flow and volume capabilities compared to normal diameter housings and cartridges.
  • Flexibility to use a wide assortment of activated carbon or specialty cartridges for specific water conditions and problems.
  • US FDA approved materials for all essential components and NSF approvals for housings and most cartridges.
  • Optional ER pressure gauge and shut-off valves for easy cartridge replacement.

Components for the ERB-222 filtration water treatment system

  • three 20" (50 cm) large diameter blue polypropylene filter housings
  • - the second and third housings in series or parallel (option)
  • 1" NPT inlet/outlet with hex nipple connections
  • pressure release valves
  • mounting bracket

The three-housing system is designed to hold a double gradient density sediment filter, which provides two step filtration (usually 50 to 5 microns) for longer cartridge life and higher dirt holding capacity in its first housing, and activated carbon cartridges and/or specialty cartridges in its last two housings. A pressure gauge can be installed directly on the system to determine cartridge replacement as a result of pressure drop or actual water pressure through the system. Shut-off valves are also available to be attached to the inlet and outlet to allow for quick and easy cartridge replacement The suggested activated carbon or specialty cartridges are sized for six month usage.* Fittings, regulators, and other accessories are also available for customer needs and requirements.
