The AION confocal microscopy system by Confocal NL represents the third generation of Line REscan confocal technology designed for high-contrast imaging of live cells and thick specimens. This system excels in long-term, low-signal imaging and features one of the most expansive fields of view available, achieving high sensitivity through camera-based detection combined with visible (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) imaging capabilities. Our system uses a line illumination through a slit pinhole, instead of a point illumination found in point scanner confocal microscopes. This provides high temporal resolution while reducing phototoxicity. Since phototoxicity is one of the biggest challenges for researchers, this makes AION the perfect tool for live cell imaging.
