Dredge Yard - Cutter Suction Dredgers

Dredge Yard Standard cutter suction dredgers range from CSD 350 up to CSD 650 and include a variety of options which can be selected like a production meter, a spud carrier, a submersible dredge pump, and anchor booms. Moreover the dredgers can be delivered in a mono hull or a dismountable pontoon version.

The dredgers are designed to excavate and transport a wide variety of soil materials such as clay, fine sand, medium sand, coarse sand and gravels, highly compacted or loosely deposited, very soft or of a more hard and rocky nature. The excavated materials are slurry field and pumped effectively to the discharge area by a high efficiency inboard dredge pump.

Main features of Dredge Yard`s standard Cutter Suction Dredgers are:

• Small dredgers in the range of CSD350 and CSD450 have 3 dismountable pontoons while the bigger CSD500 up to the CSD650 have 5 pontoons.
• Dredge pump installed inboard and directly driven by diesel engine through a reduction gearbox. The pump is mounted on a heavy duty bearing block. Submerged pump can be supplied as an option.
• Cutter head is hydraulic driven. Electric drive through reduction gearbox and long shaft with intermediate bearings is optional. Also different power ratings are available.
• Each dredger is equipped with three winches. One winch for hoisting the cutter ladder and two winches for swinging the dredger. The ladder hoist and swinging winches are mounted on the main pontoon in front of the operator`s cabin. The side wires are led through sheaves located underwater near cutter ladder front part to the anchors.
• Operating cabin fitted on the main pontoon including all the controls that are necessary to run the dredger.
• A working and an auxiliary spud are provided at the rear of dredger for forward positioning the dredger during operation. Two hydraulic cylinders are mounted on the deck for hoisting the cylinder. Optionally a spud carrier can be installed on the dredger.
• Auxiliary diesel engine for driving hydraulic pumps is provided for the CSD450, CSD500 and CSD650
• Cutter head is heavy duty and with replaceable cutter teeth that are available in three types for rocks, sand and clay.
• Box coolers for cooling diesel engines, gearbox and hydraulic oil.
• Inspection piece in front of dredge pump is provided for easy inspection and cleaning
