DAIKIN - DAI-EL Fluoroelastomers
Daikin’s fluoroelastomers – DAI-EL – are designed to achieve the highest requirements in extreme environments. This includes high temperatures in combination with contact to fuel, diesel and all kinds of media. DAI-EL's very low permeation rate allows components to meet current environmental regulations. A sophisticated polymer design allows stable extrusion and molding processes for all kinds of technical rubber articles like O-rings, seals and fuel / turbo charge hoses.
Our comprehensive FKM portfolio covers the full range of copolymers and terpolymers for bishpenol and peroxide curing. This includes low temperature (LT) FKM (Tg = -30°C) as well as perfluoroelastomers (FFKM). Daikin designed base resistant fluoroelastomers (BRE) with superior mechanical properties to meet tomorrow's requirements. A series of fluoro-thermoplastic elastomers, F-TPV, offers a unique combination of low permeation, low modulus (high flexibility), and excellent processability.
Daikin invented the Iodine cure site monomer for peroxide curable grades in the 1980s and developed this system further. A progressive polymerization method allows linear or branched polymers with controlled molecular weight distribution. The grades of the G-7000 series provide optimal flow-ability and compression set. A minimum of ionic end groups at Daikin's bisphenol grades enable fast curing combined with excellent processing and clean demolding.
All Daikin elastomers are well recognized in the market for their excellent quality and processing behavior. Fluorine content 67% to 71%, excellent process ability, fast cure and low postcure
LT Low temperature grades
Low temperature flexible, TR10=-30°C, peroxide curable, resistance to aggressive oils
