Continuous monitoring trace amounts of inorganic and organic impurities in ultra pure water is not an easy task. The Organic X Monitor LC developed and patented by Degussa-Hüls meets all requirements of a powerful monitor:
- High sensitivity
- Short response time
- Easy to handle
- Robustness
- Low maintenance
Fields of Application
- The principle applications for the Organic X Monitor LC are:
- Boiler feedwater monitoring
- Condensate monitoring
- Reclaimed water monitoring
- Monitoring of ultra pure water like in pharmaceutical and chip production
- Monitoring of ion exchangers for release of organic impurities
Operational Principle
- By measuring the conductivity before and after UV-decomposition inorganic and organic impurities are detected in trace amounts.
Standards
- The Organic X Monitor LC meets the requirements of all standards related to ultra pure water like USP 23, ASTM D-1193, SEMI, VGB etc.
Short Response Time
- Is the condensate from the production to be reused for the steam production it has to be free of inorganic and organic impurities. Due to the fast response of the Organic X Monitor LC condensate is only cleaned up if requiered. This not only protects the boiler but helps to cut down cleaning costs considerably!
High Sensitivity
- The Organic X Monitor LC is equipped with high sensititve conductivity cells. Variations in temperature are compensated by a polynome based temperature compensation. A lower detection limit of 0.5ppb is the result!
Low Maintenance
- Less than 10h annually are required for maintenance. The availability is almost 99.9%! Thanks to the modular design maintenance is as easy as anything and can be performed by the user. Each component is readily accessible and in most cases no tools are necessary for replacements. In order to maximize safety the electronic compartment is separated from the wet-chemical part of the monitor.
Robustness
- All components are chosen for a maximum of robustness to withstand harsh environmental conditions typical for process applications.
Modular Design
- The rack mount modular design makes it very easy to customize the monitor to special monitoring tasks. Also other moduls like process PC´s, chart and paperless recorders can be incorporated.
