Double Tray System
Smart Engineering at the service of Seedling Producers. The New Era in Propagation for a World without EPS. The “Double Tray System” (DTS) is a patented invention that refers to a plastic double tray system that works as one rigid object. It consists of one top plastic (polystyrene) tray for sowing or transplanting and one bottom plastic (polystyrene) tray for support. The product’s smart engineering and design is the outcome of Ina Plastics’ close cooperation with skilled, experienced and successful growing companies worldwide. Thus, the DTS was quickly adopted by some of the most advanced seedlings producers of the field helping them improve their produce and at the same time provide the growers with stronger, healthier and better developed plants.
-
30% lower cost per use compared to the traditional trays
-
20% more plants per sq. meter
-
12% faster plant growth
-
90% less storage space required from the traditional trays
-
Does not damage the roots of plants giving 96% germination
-
Disinfection is simple and the most economical without any chemicals
-
100 % ecological solution, both trays are recyclable
The Double Tray System behaves perfectly on rails the same way as the EPS or injection trays. It is rigid, slides easily and is used the same way in the sowing and transplanting stages.
Atmosphere conditions in the greenhouse, being an expensive issue to maintain, are affecting directly the plant giving it at least 12% premature growth as there is no insulation effect.
All the other advantages are there, healthier and stronger root system, protection from diseases, better logistics, easy extraction of the plant, no root damage and clean environment because as used trays are collected by recycling companies.
The engineering of the product combined with the use of the appropriate material, give the product the ability to float on water on a level that plant development is encouraged.
Floating DTS is being used in many different countries and is proven to be ideal for the development of seedlings in water beds. It is being used extensively for tobacco and stevia seedlings propagation with great success.
Except, premature growth and healthier root system, the easy extraction of the plants is a major advantage.
Seedling development is homogeneous and the root is strong, thus plants are adapting faster to any climate and environment. Development of the plants in the field is also faster and the yield increases per hectare.
