4B Touchswitch - Model TS2 -Electromechanical Limit Switch
The Touchswitch is an electromechanical limit switch with no moving parts. It detects and prevents pulley, belt, or conveyor misalignment on enclosed or open conveyors, as well as on all types of elevators. It reacts to the pressure exerted by the belt or conveyor, which, upon misalignment, comes into contact with the sensor's front face. A relay contact can then trigger an alarm or stop the machine. The sensors are normally installed in pairs, on each side of the machine. The sensors can be connected directly to a programmable logic controller (PLC) or – for complete safety – to an independent central unit, such as the T500 HOTBUS, IE Node, or WATCHDOG ELITE ATEX zone 21.
