Fat Separators

SHARE

The main problems derived from the accumulation of fats in raw water are: Incrustations and blockages in pipes and electromechanical equipment. Decrease in purification performance causing an increase in aeration to be required in biological reactors, causing additional costs. Decrease in purification performance by promoting conditions for phenomena such as Bulking or foaming to occur. Grease separators are highly recommended in those facilities where the discharge of grease is expected (hotel kitchens, restaurants, etc.) that can alter the operation of the biological treatment plant. Thus, they are complementary equipment that helps improve the performance of the subsequent biological treatment plant.

We can manufacture them in recyclable rotomolded polyethylene, polyester or stainless steel, all of them materials that resist the acidic environment generated by accumulated fats (pH between 1 and 3).

It is essential to install them near the kitchen and ensure that they do not receive sewage. The water leaving the separator can now be sent directly to the BIOTRIT biological treatment plant.

They comply with the Spanish Standard EN 1825-1 completed by P 16-500-1/CN and EN 1825-2, and have CE marking.
