Model Fasflo -Floating Skimmer

The Fasflo is a free floating skimmer for the recovery of oil in open, fast flowing water such as rivers, estuaries and offshore side sweep systems (the smaller, lighter version of the Fasflo, the Mini Fasflo, is designed for use in more confined waters and where there is a requirement for portability. The Fasflo system is supplied with the skimmer head, a GP60/4 power pack and all necessary hoses. The Fasflo works by reducing the velocity of the polluted water entering the system, thus allowing the oil to surface and be collected via a self adjusting weir system. An on-board, hydraulically driven positive displacement VikoPump is used to remove the oil and discharge to storage. Apart from the pump, the only moving part is the self adjusting weir lip. This, together with the simplicity of the system, ensures minimal maintenance and spare part requirements.
