AplicatorModel IPS-8000 -Glassfiber/Polyester Spray Machine

SHARE

The Aplicator IPS-8000 is engineered for high-capacity glassfiber/polyester spray applications. It features a unique catalyst slave pump that allows precise resin-to-catalyst ratios, which can be adjusted between 0.8 and 4.0%, ensuring minimal over spray. The twin spray nozzles facilitate an external mix of materials, enhancing application precision without the need for gun flushing. Its air-driven dual-acting piston pump, made from stainless steel, ensures precise delivery independent of air supply or material viscosity variations. It offers a robust glass fiber chopper gun with adjustable pressure for accommodating different fiber grades and lengths. The machine supports a high output of up to 12 liters per minute and is equipped with a recirculation system for efficient degassing and function checks. User-friendly features include a wheeled chassis for mobility and a pneumatically operated trigger, making it ideal for organizations aiming for operational efficiency in fiberglass spray-up tasks.

Aplicator’s IPS-8000 is a superbly designed and engineered machine for glassfibre/polyester spray up applications and developed for organisations requiring high production capacities. Using advanced and proven techniques, the machine is easy and safe to handle with simple controls for straightforward operation. For precise resin to catalyst ratios, the machine is equipped with Aplicator’s unique catalyst slave pump that is infinitely adjustable, between 0.8 and 4.0 %. Twin spray nozzles give a perfect external mix of the resin and catalyst with minimal over spray. No flushing of the gun is needed.

The IPS-8000 works with an air driven dualacting piston pump, both for the resin and the catalyst. Manufactured from stainless steel, the catalyst pump incorporates a pressure gauge and pressure relief valve and is synchronised with the resin pump shaft for precise delivery of catalyst. Consequently, it is independent of variations in air supply or material viscosity. Catalyst volumes are easily adjusted with a hand wheel, which changes the stroke length of the catalyst pump. The mixing ratios are continuously variable. Catalyst is pumped directly from the original container. Resin is usually pumped from a 200-litre drum, but can also be pumped from a 25-litre pail, a bulk container or a fixed storage tank. To facilitate degassing and function checks the machine is additionally equipped with a unique recirculation system for the catalyst and resin.

Robust and reliable with bearings used in all moving parts. Pressure between the rubber roller and the knife roller can be adjusted during operation allowing the use of lower grades of glass fibre. The chopper can easily be removed from its casing for cleaning and inspection. For safety reasons the compressed air to the chopper is automatically switched off during disassembly. Chopped glass fibre is fed into an adjustable channel allowing the fibre to be directed into the material mix with a high degree of accuracy. Standard length of chopped fibres is 25 mm but other lengths are available upon request. The chopper has a very high capacity and can also be used for other types of fibres. Up to three strands can be used at the same time.
