Granulate Dryers For The Pharmaceutical Industry

Our unique know-how from construction of depyrogenation ovens are used for the construction of cGMP tray dryers.

The tray dryer is designed for all kinds of granulates, but is especially suited for products requiring a gentle drying.

Function of Lytzen Tray Dryers 

The drying process is effected by a horizontal air flow. The unique construction of the chamber secures a uniform air distribution and a minimal difference of temperature inside the chamber, provides the most efficient drying.  

The Lytzen granulate dryer can be supplied with 100% air exchange. Electricity, hot water, steam and hot oil all available as heating media.

The Lytzen tray dryer is designed to be in accordance with cGMP in every detail. The chamber is fully welded and no rivets or screws are used inside the chamber.

The material is stainless steel AISI 304 or 316. All inside sheets are easily removable for easy cleaning and inspection.

Smart air flow
The drying process of granulate is effected by a horizontal air flow. The unique construction of the chamber secures a uniform air distribution and a minimal temperature difference inside the chamber, providing the most efficient drying.

  • The Lytzen tray dryer can be supplied with 100 % air exchange.
  • The gas monitor will, apart from being a safety device, also secure maximum temperature inside the chamber with regards to the level of solvents and the set point temperature.
  • Heating media can be electricity, steam or hot water.
  • PLC controller is available for the control system.

Lytzen Tray Dryers for classified areas are in compliance with the Atex-directive.

Safety Systems

Primary safety systems:

  • Alarm for insufficient air flow auto­matically cuts off the heating system.
  • Surface temperature of heating element is monitored. 
  • Gas monitor cuts off the heating system if concentration is too high.
  • Spark free construction.

Secondary safety systems:

  • Explosion-relief door
  • Emergency switch inside the chamber
  • Automatic door interlock system.

Comprehensive operating and maintenance manual and IQ/OQ documents are standard documentation.

The dryer will be tested before delivery and the test results will be available for the customer before shipment and will also be included in the manual.

Lytzen welcomes and recommends that the customer attends the FAT before shipment.
