SHARE

Air, water, soil and chemicals are corrosive environments that affect everything as well as steel pipes. This effect can only be prevented by coating the pipe with a material according to the intended use. HATBORU believes in high quality and meticulousness in coating and lining, as well as in steel pipe manufacturing. We offer Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyurethane, Epoxy, Solventfree Epoxy, Fusion Bonded Epoxy, Flow Coat Epoxy, Coaltar Epoxy and Cement Mortar coating and lining in our facilities according to the needs of steel pipe projects.

Surface Preparation

The surfaces to be coated/lined must be completely free of dirt, rust and scale before application. For this purpose, the inner and outer surfaces of the pipes are cleaned up to Sa 2 ½ degree by means of steel marble/grit blasting in special sandblasting machines.

Polyethylene Coating

Polyethylene coating is frequently used in oil, gas and water lines. It provides high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance for underground pipes. Normal type (Low density) coating is able to withstand continuous operating temperature of 60ºC, special type coating (High density) - 60ºC / + 80ºC up to a wide range of continuous operating temperature. Hatboru can apply low and high density polyethylene coating.

Polypropylene Coating

It is applied in the same way as Polyethylene Coating. It provides high strength and corrosion resistance in pipes laid under the ground and is resistant to continuous operating temperature up to 120ºC.

Epoxy Coating

After blasting, different types of epoxy are applied to the inner or outer surface of the pipe by spraying in accordance with the relevant standards and customer demands. It is hygienic and suitable for drinking water on the inner surface. Various epoxy coatings resistant to soil or seawater corrosion are used on the outer surface. Solvent-free epoxy in drinking water projects, coaltar epoxy in irrigation pipes, glass flake epoxy in pile pipes, flow coat epoxy coating is preferred in natural gas pipes to reduce surface roughness. Hatboru is also able to apply Fusion Bonded Epoxy in the inner and outer surface of the pipes, which is mainly requested in areas like deserts.

Cement Mortar

Cement Mortar is mainly applied in the inner surface of the pipes in drinking water lines. Cement mortar is sprayed to the rotating pipe by high centrifugation and applied evenly. It can be applied with or without additives. The additive used in cement mortar is a binding agent between cement, sand and water, and at the same time it improves the quality of the coating by providing surface smoothness.
