HYDROWATT - High Pressure Pumps
HYDROWATT pumps are generally designed for pressures up to a max. of 415 bar (6'000 PSI). On request special executions with up to 600 bar (8'700 psi) are possible. The wide range of pump sizes, with 5, 7, 10 or 14 pistons (cylinder), means that an equally broad flow range is available, from approx. 20 – 800 litre/min (5 – 200 US-gpm).
The hermetic sealing of the displacement (pressure medium) to the pressure-lubricated drive of the pump allows high piston speeds and thus also the construction of high-speed pumps. All of our pumps are therefore flanged directly to commercially available electric motors without intermediate gears.
The standard speed ranges are: 1'500 rpm (at 50 Hz) or 1'800 rpm (at 60 Hz). All pumps can also be operated at variable speed (VFD).
All HYDROWATT pumps are designed for heavy industrial use in continuous 24/7 operation.
Our high-pressure pumps are characterized by a high degree of economic efficiency and a very low time requirement for maintenance. This makes it possible to carry out maintenance work without the need for any lifting tools. In addition, the high-pressure pumps are relatively space-saving: With their very compact radial design, they are ideal for replacing existing pump systems.
Our high-pressure pumps have an extremely robust eccentric shaft with bearings on both sides and integrated pressure lubrication of the drive. Their design eliminates the need for both a crankshaft and a gearbox. Their low flow pulsations protect the downstream components of the entire hydraulic system.
The unique HYDROWATT technology offers several significant advantages over conventional piston (plunger/triplex) pumps.
- simple set-up, pistons arranged radially
- components clearly positioned and easily replaceable (modular design)
- short eccentric drive shaft (no multiple-throw crankshaft)
- corrosion resistant stainless steel pump housing
- integrated forced lubrication, hermetically separated from the pumped fluid by means of the AXIFLEX piston technology, eliminates need for packings
- all critical parameters are monitored and are made available to the customers data system
- 5 or 7 pistons positioned radially about an eccentric drive with harmonic motion
- the pump is directly coupled to the electric motor, no gear box
- light, extremely compact design
- low maintenance, few spare and wear parts
- quick, easy maintenance. Generally no hoisting equipment is required
- long operating life
- extreme dirt tolerance, 100-micron filtration is sufficient
- no leakage (neither externally not internally)
- high operational reliability
- the minimal flow pulse reduces stress and wear on the pump and on the entire system
- no gear box to service
- fewer moving parts than any other piston pump
- considerably reduced space requirement compared to conventional piston pumps
