These lightweight hand held meters are ergonomically designed to fit the palm of your hand and are operated with just three tactile buttons. Select imperial or metric units and automatic zeroing. Built in automatic thermal compensation ensures that the air velocity readings are maintained with stability and accuracy regardless of the air stream temperature between 5 and 65 C. Hot wire anemometers work by measuring the current drawn through the hot wire as a result of the cooling effect of the air flow extracting heat from the wire. The instrument maintains the wire at a fixed temperature so that as it is cooled by the air flow the current increases to maintain the temperature of the wire. The current is thus a function of the gas velocity. Available in different configurations for velocity, volume flow calculations and data logging.
