ROTOMEC hydromechanical coupling consists in a fluid coupling with a centrifugal coupling inside. The hydraulic unit acts as a starter, causing the driven machine to accelerate almost to operating speed. At the end of the first launching phase, the centrifugal coupling mechanically engages the transmission, eliminating the slip between the driving part (Motor) and the driven one (Machine).
