CRESTON Electrichlor - Hypochlorite Generators for Biofouling Control
The Electrichlor system by Creston Water Solutions offers an advanced approach to biofouling control in coastal and offshore industrial facilities. The electrochemical process occurs in a patented electrolyzer cell featuring a unique nested concentric-tube design for efficient performance. Creston’s innovative Electrichlor® technology features our patented electrolyzer design for continuous, safe, reliable, efficient on-site sodium hypochlorite production in the most demanding industrial environments.
Each electrolyzer module consists of concentric intermeshed anode/cathode pairs contained inside a robust titanium housing with a single flanged endplate (IP-56 enclosure) for years of leakproof, maintenance-free operation. The mix-metal oxide (MMO) coated anodes provide low power consumption and less frequent acid cleaning, with an extended life of up to 10 years.
Electrichlor is fully skid-mounted or containerized and tested in our factory. Installation involves lifting the skid into place and connecting the electrical power and piping. This means lower construction costs and a shorter overall schedule.
Electrichlor is the only system on the market that operates without seawater strainers or filters. Electrichlor uses 25-50% less footprint than competitors without compromising operational and maintenance access.
