J-Bunks
J-Bunks, also known as fence-line or 1-sided bunks, are used for building feeding solutions where the cattle and roadway are separated.
Our J-Bunks have a height of 34″ (2′-10″) on tall side and 19″ on the cattle side. They are 8 feet long and weigh between 2600 and 2700 lbs. We produce 2 widths to accommodate dairy cattle or feeder cattle.
We usually figure 4-6 head of cattle per bunk. Our J-Bunks have holes cast in the front side for attaching posts.
We tend to sell more J-Bunks than U-Bunks because when you are installing a bunk that will last 50+ years, it’s nice to not have to open the gate every day.
We use 4000 psi, fiber-reinforced concrete for our J-Bunks. All concrete is batched on site and we NEVER use job site returns or “hot concrete”
