Liquid Lime
The Richard Alan Engineering liquid lime storage system stores a lime slurry concentration to meet your specific requirements up to 40%.

Powdered Lime
The lime batching unit is a fully automated batching system for the mixing of hydrated lime into slurry. These units can be sized to feed the batching tank from either silos or FIBC (‘big bag’) systems by screw conveyor. Load cells under the batching tank accurately weigh in the correct amount of lime with the precise amount of water to produce the required concentration of lime slurry.

The batching system will operate on a duty/standby basis so that a batch can be made-up with the relevant retention time for adequate lime mixing, whilst the duty tank is being utilised. This means that there is no requirement for any plant shutdown whilst a batch is prepared.

Tanks can be supplied with various accessories to suit customer requirements such as feed hoppers, filters, level indication and dust arrestors.

Capacity:
The batching systems are supplied in sizes of 1 – 50 m3.

Specification:

  • Compliance with EC Machinery Directive 98/37/EC – 73/23/EEC – 89/336/EEC
  • Manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel
  • Control panel and motors IP55
  • Standard supply voltage 3ph – 380/415V – 50Hz, a frequency of 60Hz is available on request
  • The power supply required is 3ph and neutral plus earth. The control panel is fitted with a transformer to give 110V supply for the control circuit and 24V DC supply for the level transducer/PLC unit

The supply voltage must be specified when placing an order for equipment.
