Application: Manual coarse screen consists of bar screen placed in the open channel. Placed that way, the screen represents an obstacle to all floating solid waste that remains on the screen. Collected material is manually removed using supplied rake. This kind of device is suitable for waste water treatment systems and for installation into bypass channels or into channels in front of device where bulk waste material can cause device malfunctioning.

- Screen bars, with specific clear width between bars, are obliquely placed into channel with the bottom end onto the basic slab at the channel bottom, and with the upper end on the waste container board. Waste water flow brings solid material on to the immersed screen. The waste remains on the front part of the screen if it is of larger dimensions than clear width between screen bars.
- After sufficient quantitiy of waste material is collected on the screen, operator pulls the material to the screen top and throws it into container placed at the top of channel using rakes. Container posesses a perforated bottom for material draining. Container discharge is conducted by operator, manually, and it is usually discharged into municipal container.
