ARAM Mobile - Model RadTruck -Mobile Radiation Detector

A prototype ARAM-enabled SUV, developed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, was first fielded in the New York/New Jersey region and has been used by DHS and local authorities. New Jersey began operating ARAM mobile radiation detector- enabled SUVs in 2004, as the Garden State joined multiple agencies in the New York City metropolitan region in a federal pilot program that aims to detect terrorist nuclear material before it can be detonated.
