Designed to facilitate standbuilding operations without interrupting drilling, rotating mouseholes are powerhouses of increased safety and enhanced uptime. Tucked beneath rig floors and requiring little maintenance, they allow crews to efficiently make-up and set-back drill pipe and collars without occupying the main wellbores.

Unlike standard mouseholes, Forum rotating mousehole tools handle multiple strings of threaded drill pipe to significantly extend depth from the rig floor while simultaneously drilling. Rotating mouseholes support break-out and lay-down operations while requiring minimal maintenance and repair. Our unique rotating mousehole design rotates and shoulders drill pipe and bottom hole assembly connections up to 1,500 foot/pounds, allowing final torque adjustment to be applied by the top drive, manual tong or iron roughneck.

By automatically turning pipes underneath the rig floor, rotating mouseholes boost rig safety by removing the need for manual stand turns inside of oil derricks. Reducing crew exposure during pipe connection also increases safety, and the mousehole position under the rig floor results in fewer hazards on the rig floor while tripping pipe.
