The large objective provides high resolutions and superior light passage in the most undesirable overcast conditions. Magnifications of 8X, 10X, and 12X enhance capability and match most modern fire control systems. Nitrogen purged and sealed optical cells, aluminum and stainless steel construction, a mil specified and proven design provide years of trouble-free reliability and performance. The telescope interfaces with smaller caliber adapters (thru 40mm) via integral 5.56mm and 7.62mm stems, while large caliper designs include a permanent telescope interface. These adapters are mechanically perfect and inherently locate the exact mechanical centerline axis of even the most worn gun tubes. Salvo Technologies’ video boresight system (BCA) adds a new dimension to boresighting with a patented approach unrivaled by the competition.

Given our history in the boresight market dating before 1960, we possess a long portfolio of mechanical interface designs. We hold several design patents and can provide great insight into the required characteristics for maximum accuracy. Our list of options enhances basic designs, and in a sense, custom tailor for your special requirements. In some applications, we use semi-exotic materials in our adapters and stems for maximum accuracy. Salvo Technologies offers three telescopes categorized by magnification 8X, 10X, and 12X. Each telescope is designed to satisfy a specific purpose or application. The 8X is our lowest-weight telescope, best suited for guns below 14.5mm; the relatively light weight of the 8X reduces/eliminates the possibility of system droop in smaller gun tube sizes. The 10X is specifically designed for use on large cal adapters primarily to match the magnification of the related platform. Finally, the 12X provides the highest accuracy, but its larger size is best suited for gun tubes above 20mm. All three telescopes surpass all competitive units in terms of accuracy, resolution, and light passage.
