PEBBLE NIR is based on the same proven diffraction grating technology used in all other Ibsen spectrometers. This ensures that PEBBLE can be manufactured in high quantities with very small unit-to-unit performance variations.
This type of multi-spectral sensor in the NIR range provides many benefits when used in the agricultural, pharma, and medical industries. It can detect gluten, diffuse tissue reflectance, and blood analysis. The PEBBLE spectrometer is small and thus good for handheld devices. The compact spectrometer is also easier to use and provides the full spectrum.
The miniature PEBBLE NIR spectrometer covers a wavelength range of 950 – 1700 nm and offers a resolution of 12 nm. It utilizes a sensitive un-cooled G13913 InGaAs detector from Hamamatsu.
