These specimens are instrumental in ensuring quality and process conformance for manufacturers, platers, and inspectors. Regular panels from Metaspec are PVC-coated, cut, deburred, and bundled but may have minor surface defects and mill oil. Pre-cleaned panels are solvent-cleaned to remove mill oil and fingerprints, providing an as-rolled finish without PVC coating for immediate use. Premium polished panels are carefully sanded and polished on one side to remove visible defects, making them superior for demanding applications despite some detectable scratches on the reverse side. These premium panels are also ready for use without PVC coating. Metaspec offers additional custom surface finishes and customization options, including blasting, polishing, anodizing, holes, stamping, and serial numbering, providing a range of tailored solutions for diverse application needs.

- Corrosion & Light Fastness: the test specimen is a minimum 3" wide, 10" long, and 0.032" thick.
- Abrasion Resistance: the test specimen is a minimum 4" wide, 4" long, and 0.063" thick.
