DeepBlue - Model D-v2t -Roadside Sensor
The DeepBlue D-model is a state-of-the-art roadside sensor engineered by trafficnow for precise Bluetooth and Wi-Fi tracking. It is highly effective for measuring travel times and gathering origin/destination data, which enhances infrastructure planning. The system leverages specially designed AA antennas, enabling detection across up to 12 traffic lanes without interference. This feature is complemented by its design for pole-mounted installations, making it minimally invasive and ideal for highway use. Its side-fire capabilities allow seamless wireless signal detection from vehicle-travel electronics such as smartphones and GPS systems. The sensor combines rugged roadside resilience with high performance, supported by a sensitive Bluetooth module and robust internal antennas. In terms of power, the DeepBlue sensors come equipped with three radios, averaging a power consumption of 1.8W without an internal modem, and 3.5W with it, subject to variations based on network conditions. This model, developed at Mobility-labs in Barcelona, reflects hardware version 3.11 with firmware 950.
