The basic functions of the rotary table are:

• Transmitting the rotary motion and the torque required by the drill bit from the rotor by means of the kelly bushing to the kelly located in the upper part of the drill string;
• Taking over the load resulting from the drilling string, respectively the tubing column, by supporting them during the maneuvering operations ( introduction, extraction and rotation of the drilling string when screwing and unscrewing );
• Blocking against the rotation of the drill string, respectively of the tubing column, during the operations of tightening the rods or pipes;

• Opening diameter 444,5 mm ( 17 ½ )
• Maximum static torque at the rotor 5000 kgfm
• Maximum torque in rotation at the rotor 1000 kgfm
• Maximum static load 250 tf
• Maximum speed 300 rpm
• Overall dimensions L x W x H ~ 2275 x 1270 x 590 mm ( including cardan drive flange )
