InnoWasteModel InnoPellet -Sludge Processing System

SHARE

The InnoPellet system by InnoWaste is designed for processing sludge from wastewater plants, landfills, and slaughterhouses into solid recovered fuel (SRF) that complies with ISO 21640:2021 standards. This system operates with a TÜV-Rheinland certification and is backed by patents in over 30 countries. It efficiently converts sludge into SRF pellets and phosphorus-rich ash. The process involves initial sludge input, drying with heat generated by a pellet-powered unit, extrusion into pellets, further drying, and ultimate output for commercialization. The system has modular setup options, adaptable to various land and operational requirements, and is compliant with both European and EPA standards. It offers self-sustainability by recycling 60-80% of the SRF pellets to power its heating unit. Ideal for facilities seeking sustainable sludge management solutions, the InnoPellet system also provides an annual carbon footprint reduction and cost savings.

1 – INPUT
The sludge is funneled into the system either by (1) dumping it into the connected storage tank or (2) automatically pulling it in with the integrated screw press.

2 – PRE-DRYER
The sludge is snaked through the machine via the conveyor system. Heat is used to dry the sludge to 40-50% dry solid content. (The hot air is generated by the pellet-powered heating unit.)

3 – EXTRUDER
The sludge is formed into pellets. (1 pound of pellets has the same heating capacity as 8 cubic feet of natural gas.)

4 – DRYER
The sludge is dried again, this time in pellet form, to 85-95% dry solid content. (Again, the hot air is generated by the pellet-powered heating unit.)

5 – OUTPUT
60-80% of the ISO 21640:2021 SRF pellets are automatically conveyed to the heating unit, where they are used to generate hot air. The heating unit's byproduct is phosphorus-rich ash, which can be commercialized (e.g., for fertilizer manufacturing). The remaining 20-40% of the pellets are collected and can also be commercialized (or used).
