Curtis - Model 2 in. -Spin Free Nozzle
The 2" Spin Free nozzle from Curtis Technologies. Designed for use in counterflow cooling towers, this nozzle is ideal for use in any stick built or packaged cooling towers. This nozzle sprays in a square pattern and can use up to 5 different orifice sizes to space out the water flow in a distribution system. This nozzle is designed to be used close to the fill media. Position this nozzle about 1" above the fill media. Expect a 3` x 3` square pattern.
VFN Features
2″ NPT threaded nozzle with spring loaded orifice variability. Each nozzle sprays in a 3′ x 3′ square pattern. These nozzle ship in boxes of 24.

Performance Data
The VFN has been tested against a 9 nozzle configuration. This configuration is essentially a 1 nozzle per square foot approach and is used to canvas a fill media. This type of configuration serves as a bench mark comparison. Our setup uses 4 nozzle for every 9 square feet and it performs at nearly the same rate. The graph below shows the comparison.
